Nominations for RFBAQ District Representatives is now open

This year the RFBAQ is holding our General Election for the elected volunteer position of RFBAQ District Representative. Nominations for this position is now open with district nomination forms and information in the mail this week to each brigade secretary.

There are 17 Inspector Districts found below that the RFBAQ is calling on nominations to represent.

As a RFBAQ District Representative you will represent the whole of your Inspector District in line with the By-Laws and Policies of the Association. More information on the Roles and Expectations of a RFBAQ Representatives can be downloaded here. There is one (1) elected Representative for each of the 17 Inspector District and the position is held for three years.

To nominate a candidate for the position of RFBAQ District Representative click on the your Inspector District off our website, then compete and return to the Returning Officer by Monday, 2nd June 2014. To be eligible to nominate you must be a registered member of a registered Rural Fire Brigade. Please ensure that all requirements in the checklist included in the nomination form has been fulfilled and completed.

If more than one nomination is received for an Inspectors District, then a Ballot Paper along with the nominee's bio/resume will be mailed out to each brigade secretary in that Inspectors District. Nominee's bio/resume will also be available on our website so that brigade members will be able to make an informed decision. One Ballot Paper will be mailed to each brigade secretary as it is one vote per brigade, and therefore will not be made available online.
