Thursday, 7 May 2015
Whether your brigade has a station with multiple trucks or is a brigade that uses knapsacks and beaters; the RFBAQ would like to thank every Volunteer Brigade member, and the many co-opted Volunteers who in the last 12 months have protected Queensland from a very large fire season that was followed by Cyclone Marcia.
The 35,000 Rural Fire Brigade Volunteers truly are the backbone of a resilient Queensland community.
This years National Volunteer Week theme is - Give Happy. Live Happy.
More than 6 million Australian volunteers give happiness to others each year. And research says that that those volunteers are happier as a result. So this National Volunteer Week (11-17 May 2015), help us make Australia the happiest place on earth, by giving as much of your time as you can. Give Happy. Live Happy.
