With bushfire season well and truly here and brigades out fighting fires across Queensland today is you chance to say thankyou.

Wear a yellow ribbon to show your support for those who wear the yellow coat and ride the yellow trucks.

With 36,000 volunteers, Rural Fire Brigades protect 93% of Queensland giving up their time to defend their communities from bushfire, flood and cyclone.

This RFBAQ initiative was born out of protest, Yellow Ribbon Day is now a way of acknowledging the commitment and dedication that 36,000 rural fire brigade volunteers provide to Queensland. The RFBAQ has supplied many thousands of pre-cut ribbons free of charge to brigades and volunteers.
