About RFBAQ

The Rural Fire Brigades Association of Queensland Inc.

The Rural Fire Brigades Association of Queensland Inc. represents 34,000 volunteer bush firefighters in Queensland who dedicate their time to protecting the lives, property and the environment of our state.

These volunteers manage fire on 93% of the land area of Queensland, spread over some 1600 brigades and 2400 fire warden districts. They are largely funded by community fundraising, from which the RFBAQ Grants are derived and local government levies, plus a contribution by the state government through the Rural Fire Service.
