To all Queensland Rural Fire Brigades Volunteers,

As a member of Queensland’s Volunteer Rural Fire Brigades, you are also a valued member of the Rural Fire Brigades Association (RFBAQ), which is the representative organisation of Brigade Volunteers in Queensland.

Naturally, we want to communicate with you however (due to well-meant but restrictive privacy regulations), QFRS has advised that it is not able to share the contact details of Rural Volunteers with the RFBAQ. So we are asking you directly and providing you with this RFBAQ Volunteer Contact Registration Form to speed the process.

In a nutshell, we’d like your contact details so that we can update our member database. By filling in this form, you can help us to make sure you’re always kept up-to-date with RFBAQ activities and information. As well as providing you with information, we also want to consult with you; hear your opinions and get your advice.

By providing us with your contact details, you will help make sure you are included in RFBAQ Volunteer Surveys and other forums that help inform policy and identify areas that we need to advocate on your behalf.

You will see that, as well as collecting your contact details, this form also includes a section on uniform size so you can receive a Rural Fire Brigades Volunteer walk out uniform (at no charge). Should you decide not to take up the uniform offer right now, there’s a place on the form for you to indicate your preference. (If that’s the case, we encourage you to still provide your uniform size. That way, if we need to send you a Volunteer T-shirt or other items at some stage in the future, we’ll have the details on hand.)

We’re all in this together, so please complete the form and return it to us directly (our postage paid address is below).

LEGAL STATEMENT: Here’s how we will use the information that you provide

Your completed Volunteer Contact Registration Form will become the property of the RFBAQ. We will add the contact and uniform details you provide to the RFBAQ member database. We will use these details for the purposes of communications, and to supply uniforms or other items. Naturally, the RFBAQ Privacy Policy will apply.
