The 200 x $5,000 Buy Local Brigade Grants programme has now been finalised, with the 50 applications for round 4 approved by the RFBAQ Management Committee on the weekend.

100% of the funding for these grants was sourced by raffle ticket sales and tax-deductible donations to the RFBAQ.

Rounds 1 to 4 saw 263 grants received and approved, and to have over exceeded grant target by more than 25% shows how popular the Buy Local Grants scheme is.

The 50 brigades will receive an email today from the RFBAQ, to be followed by a detailed letter asking for invoices from local suppliers to be sent in for payment.

An enormous thanks to the suppliers of goods and services across country and regional Queensland for supporting this programme and always adding extra in for the brigades.
