Attention Townsville Brigades

A very kind bequest was made of $37,000 to the RFBAQ by the late Gladys Wooley for the benefit of brigades in the Townsville RFSQ Area.

The 52 registered Rural Fire Brigades in the area can apply for 1 x $750 Bunnings gift card.

Applications are open for 1 month and close on the 30th April 2026.

Once the full list is compiled, the RFBAQ office will organise the cards locally with Bunnings in Townsville.

A huge thankyou to the late Gladys Wooley for leaving part of her estate for the benefit of volunteer firefighters and brigades.

The RFBAQ is an association that exists to service its membership, which is all Rural Fire Brigades in Queensland.

The objects for which the Association is established are: -

  1. To consider and make representation in matters affecting the welfare and efficiency of Rural Fire Brigades and Brigade Members.

  2. To provide financial assistance and support to Rural Fire Brigades and their Brigade Members.
