Local MP for Southern Downs, James Lister; on behalf of Fire Minister Ann Leahy MP, and RFBAQ President Ian Pike handed over the Ford Ranger to the brigade in Inglewood yesterday evening.

Goondiwindi Mayor, Lawrence Springborg also attended and spoke well about the importance of local brigades receiving equipment and empowerment to defend their local communities.

Inglewood SES laid on a very tasty BBQ for the evening with some very tasty steak from the Warwick IGA.

This vehicle was kindly donated to the RFBAQ by QFleet to be a trial platform for developing a practical high flow electric pump system.

See the learning here.

At the conclusion of the ‘Pebble' project, the vehicle was to go to a Rural Fire Brigade that did not have a vehicle and Whetstone RFB which covers 628.51km2 with most of that area adjoining State Forest was chosen as the most deserving brigade.

Thankyou to everyone who made this project possible.
