Joined Liston Rural Fire brigade in 1973. Transferred and became a foundation member of Sugarloaf Rural Fire Brigade in 1994. Became an officer at sugarloaf RFB in 2002 and is currently 2nd Officer with 15 years being held in the first officer position. Was air observation officer from 2009-2018. Has been the deputy group officer for 2 group officers and also held the position of secretary for 1 and treasurer for the other. Has also served 9 years on the OSWG committee
