Three people (two rural firefighters and one QFD employee) will be trekking 362km over six days from Blackbutt to Killarney on the National Bicentennial Trail. To do this, they will be running 60-75km per day from sunrise to sunset and then staying overnight at Rural Fire Brigade Stations.
The RFBAQ Management Committee met today and approved the three grants that were tabled.
Local MP for Southern Downs, James Lister; on behalf of Fire Minister Ann Leahy MP, and RFBAQ President Ian Pike handed over the Ford Ranger to the brigade in Inglewood yesterday evening.
