NEW 2017 Emergency Volunteer Pin - Help design it!
Thursday, 1 Jun 2017
Overwhelmed by Queensland's volunteers selfless contribution to their communities in the recent natural disaster, Mark Ryan MP recently announced a 2017 Emergency Volunteer Pin.
The RFBAQ wrote to the Police, Fire and Emergency Services minister Mark Ryan MP suggesting the creation of a tangible piece of recognition for Queensland's Emergency Volunteers. Something that we can all wear with pride no matter the colour of the uniform shirt or the name of the organisation.
Minister Ryan wrote back last week announcing that they will be releasing a 2017 Emergency Volunteer Pin. The Volunteerism and Capability and Coordination branch that reports to Deputy Commissioner Mike Wassing will be advising of the process on how the pin will be designed and the process for distribution.
The RFBAQ encourages all Emergency Volunteers to contribute towards the design of an item that can be worn with pride on our uniform shirts.
