I grew up on a property near Tambo, being educated over the years about using fire as a means of land management.
Having moved to a property north of Mitchell in 1988 where I have been actively involved in managing landscape fires. 
I was the first officer and fire warden since the inception of our brigade, resigning from the first officer position approximately 10 years ago. I am still the current fire warden, however have relocated to Tansey in the South Burnett region. I frequently visit my area, and monitor fuel loadings throughout the year. 
The views and challenges of my area is something I perceive as an important goal and intend to always look for areas of improvement.
